Hi. I am 23 years old and still don’t know what are the causes of Pectus Exavatum.
And as i know there is any study about it? If there is, i did not heard and couldn’t find any information. The only thing that i know, it is congenital. But what if it is not, what might it be? Let’s talk about.

You didn’t mention that you have pectus or not. Maybe you are just curious 🙂 . Know this would be helped to me but no problem.
As you said that the most common information about caouse of Pectus Excavatum is congenital reasons. But there are many theories exept that.

Pectus excavatum is a relatively common symptom of Noonan syndrome, Marfan syndrome and Loeys-Dietz syndrome. It is also found in other connective tissue disorders such as Ehlers–Danlos Syndrome.
